Mirror Installation Techniques
Mirrors are available in all thicknesses to suit every application and even available with a vinyl backing (safety mirror) so if the mirror was to ever crack or break it will still hold together and keep things safe for you and your children.
There are many different methods to install mirrors. The traditional screw fix method with holes in the mirror bolted to the wall capped off with shiny dome heads can create that old fashioned look if desired. Specialised brackets or clips can also be used. The most Popular method is a silicon fix method whereby we apply silicon glue the back of the mirror and simply stick to the surface or wall creating a sleek modern look with no fixings. It also saves on installation costs using this method.
Edge Treatments for Mirrors
Mirrors can be processed with different edge treatments to compliment the overall look of your mirror. A simple polished edge (FEP) is the most popular and will enhance your mirror with a contemporary shiny border, this is our most popular edge treatment. Mirrors can also come with a bevelled edge creating an elegant border around the perimeter of your mirror. Last but not least is a simple arrised edge on your mirror (sanded edge) which removes the sharpness from the edge of the mirror. It is always recommended to process an edge treatment on your mirror.
